NUS Law Master of Laws (Maritime Law) programme has been ranked Most Popular School in the world, by LLM Guide

June 23, 2022 | Faculty

Academic research and teaching in commercial maritime law continue to be front and centre of NUS Law Centre of Maritime Law’s (CML) work with the recent funding agreement signed by the Singapore Maritime Institute (SMI) and Centre for Maritime Law (see here) in January earlier this year.  Part of CML’s success as the ‘go-to’ place for research in private and commercial maritime law is leveraging on Singapore’s position as a Premier Global Hub Port (The Leading Maritime Cities of the World 2022).

This good news has been followed closely with NUS Law being ranked the “Most popular school” for the Master of Laws (Maritime Law) programme this year by LLM Guide, solidifying the Faculty’s and SMI’s vision to drive a world-class global maritime knowledge hub driven by research and innovation. With this funding, students are able to look forward to having Visiting Professorships, Doctoral Scholarships for Singapore citizens and Singapore PR candidates, fully funded full-time Research Fellows or short-term Research Visitors. A Maritime Club will soon be established to promote activities each semester for NUS Law students, NUS law alumni, and members of the local maritime bar.
