NUS Law Welcomes 2019 LLM Students

August 6, 2019 | Student

NUS Law welcomed its latest cohort of about 130 graduate students on 6 August 2019.

Our local LLM candidates were joined by students from Asia, Africa, Australia, Europe and other parts of the world.

The welcome event commenced with Professor Simon Chesterman (Dean, NUS Law) delivering the welcome address. Professor Chesterman encouraged students to make the most of the opportunities given at NUS Law.

Professor David Tan (Vice Dean (Academic Affairs)) gave the students an overview of their journey at NUS Law, followed by a briefing on academic matters by Associate Professor Umakanth Varottil PhD ’10 (Director (Graduate Coursework Studies)).

Students were then grouped according to their chosen specialisation and briefed by the respective Programme Directors. The programme concluded with a dinner reception where LLM candidates had the opportunity to chat with other professors and interact with course mates.

We wish all graduate students an enriching journey at Asia’s Global Law School!
