NUS Law Welcomes LL.M Students for 2015

August 4, 2015 | Student

NUS Law welcomed its latest cohort of graduate students during the orientation cum welcome dinner held on 4 August 2015.

Our local LL.M candidates are joined by a very international group of graduate students from Thailand, the Philippines, India, China, and some from as far as the United Kingdom, United States of America, Greece, Sweden, Norway and Switzerland.

Grouped according to their chosen specialisation, the students were briefed by their course coordinators on the expectations of the course and what they can look forward to with the NUS Law LL.M program. After the session, they moved to the auditorium to meet Vice Dean (Academic Affairs) Associate Professor David Tan, and the Dean, Professor Simon Chesterman.

While Associate Professor David Tan went through the academic requirements with the students, Professor Chesterman went on to encourage them to make the most of their time here and enjoy the cultural melting pot that is NUS Law, where students from all over the world can exchange ideas and experiences.

The LL.M candidates then continued to a reception with the Faculty where they had the chance to meet several professors and make new friends.

With such an international cohort, NUS Law truly lives up to its reputation as Asia’s Global Law School.
