Simon Tay ’86 appointed as Singapore’s Ambassador to Greece

NUS Law congratulates Associate Professor Simon Tay ’86 on being appointed Singapore’s Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic (Greece). He will serve in his new role on a non-residential basis and continue his other appointments concurrently.

Mdm Halimah Yacob ’78 LLM ’01 LLD ’16, President of the Republic of Singapore, presented the Letter of Credence to Associate Professor Tay at a ceremony held at the Istana in Singapore on Thursday, 23 January 2020. He will undertake his first official visit to Greece in February 2020.

Associate Professor Tay teaches international law in the Faculty. He is concurrently the Chairman of the Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA) and Senior Consultant at WongPartnership.
