Brief Biodata
Chin Tet Yung has taught a variety of subjects ranging from the basic subjects such as Criminal Law, Jurisprudence, Evidence and Contract, to the newer subjects such as Computer Law and Information Technology Law. His current research interests are in Evidence and Procedure and the Trial Process. He assisted the relevant Ministries and AG Chambers in drafting several info-tech based pieces of legislation, including the Computer Misuse Act. He was Dean of the NUS Law Faculty from 1992-2001. He was a Member of Parliament from 1997-2006, and Chairman of the Government Parliamentary Committee for Home Affairs and Law as well as serving on the Information and the Arts GPC and Communications and Transport GPC. He currently serves on the NUS Institutional Review Board and has been a Member since September 2003.
