Brief Biodata

Dr Viktor Weber joined the Centre for Maritime Law as a Post-doctoral Fellow in June 2017. Earlier he was a Research Fellow at the Institute of Maritime Law at Southampton University. He obtained his LLB (with European Legal Studies in Rouen, France), LLM (Maritime law), and PhD also from Southampton. He completed his thesis as part of an interdisciplinary project under Professor Mikis Tsimplis on 'Environmental Liability from Offshore Carbon Dioxide Sequestration in the European Union'. Apart from his main duties, Viktor has been tutoring on LLB and LLM courses and he was a co-editor of the Schoolís journal. He was a receiver of the DAAD Summer Law School Scholarship. Viktorís main interests are in commercial and also public maritime law.
