The late Subhas Anandan (1947-2015) was known as a champion of pro bono work.

The NUS Law Class of 1992 established a fund to support pro bono initiatives by NUS Law students to mark their 20th anniversary.

In recognition of the benefits of pro bono and community service by NUS Law students and to further develop this culture in NUS Law, the Class of 2017 decided to use the proceeds from their Law IV 2017 Production to set up this Grant.
