EWBCLB Academic Fellow, Kenneth Khoo, was awarded the “Best Academic Paper on ESG” in the pre-tenure category at the 2024 Berkeley Forum on Corporate Governance.
The prize was awarded for his co-authored paper with Harvard Law School Assistant Professor Roberto Tallarita, “Expanding Shareholder Voice: The Impact of SEC Guidance on Environmental and Social Proposals.”
Kenneth was presented with this award at an academic symposium hosted by The Berkeley Center for Law and Business, in collaboration with The European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI) last month.
On winning the award, Kenneth shared, “Roberto and I are deeply grateful to the many faculty members at NUS, Harvard, UC Berkeley, Chicago, LSE, Emory, and academics from across the globe for their valuable feedback, which has greatly enhanced our paper. Their insights played a crucial role in helping us win the Paper Award Competition at the 2024 Berkeley-ECGI Forum on Corporate Governance.”
