Intermediaries in Commercial Law 2021

Members of the EW Barker Centre for Law and Business took part in the June 9-10 2021, UCL Bentham House Conference 2021 on Intermediaries in Commercial Law hosted by the University College London Faculty of Laws. This event, the first in a series on commercial law jointly organized by UCL, EWBCLB, Notre Dame Law School and the City University of Hong Kong, was held virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Conference papers will be published by Hart Publishing in 2022 in a book edited by Professors Paul S Davies and Tan Cheng Han. Amongst the papers presented by EWBCLB members were: “Adjudicating Intermediary-Related Losses” by Hans Tjio; “Platform Liability for Terrorist Activities” by Ying Hu and “Ministerial Agency” by Rachel Leow. The next conference is scheduled to be held physically at the Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore in June 2023 on the topic of “Fraud and Risk in Commercial Law”.
