Ms Tina Mavraki presents a webinar on “Fixing the Legal & Governance Health of Your Organisations: A Focused Webinar on Corporate Culture
On 20 March 2025, Ms Tina Mavraki from Ingenios Ltd presented a webinar on “Fixing the Legal & Governance Health of Your Organisations: A Focused Webinar on Corporate Culture” over zoom. Professor Ernest Lim moderated this webinar.
In the webinar, Tina shared that corporate culture was the foundation of an organization’s success, yet a mechanistic approach, weak governance, and an inadequate response to ethical lapses can lead to financial ruin and reputational damage. She also explored how corporate culture shapes decision-making, internal dynamics, and overall business resilience.
Drawing lessons from major corporate failures such as Boeing, Credit Suisse, and Noble Group, it became evident that a lack of internal alignment, poor leadership, and ineffective governance could have catastrophic consequences. When organizations prioritized sterile compliance over ethical integrity, they risked fostering an environment where trust eroded, misconduct flourished, and long-term sustainability was compromised.
She further explained that a strong corporate culture was built on a clear commercial purpose, effective leadership, conducive internal dynamics, outcomes-based governance, and consistent behavior. It required more than just policies—it demanded an organization-wide commitment to accountability and transparency. Forward-thinking governance, proactive compliance strategies, and leadership that valued feedback were crucial in driving meaningful cultural transformation.
Corporate culture was not just an abstract concept; it directly impacted an organization’s financial stability and operating success. Addressing governance failures and fostering a culture of feedback could prevent legal fines, financial losses, and internal dysfunction. Businesses that embedded consistent principles into their framework could navigate challenges more effectively, ensuring long-term growth and credibility.
She concluded that to create lasting change, organizations should identify their most pressing cultural gaps and take strategic action to bridge them. Read the full insights from the Hughes Hall, Cambridge report and took the first step toward building a more resilient corporate environment.
