Student Support

Student Support

From bursaries to scholarships to grants and prizes, there are a myriad of ways to support our students to reach their full potential.

Bursaries

Your gift towards bursaries will help ensure that no undergraduate student will be prevented from pursuing a quality legal education due to limited means. These needs-based awards help financially disadvantaged students with their tuition fees, thereby giving them the chance to fulfil their potential and improve their financial standing, as well as that of their families.

Named bursaries* may be established with a minimum gift of $45,000 (expendable) or $150,000 (endowed). Currently established bursaries may be viewed here or you may donate to existing bursaries here.

Scholarships

Scholarships are offered on the basis of merit to both undergraduate and Master of Laws students. Donations towards scholarships ensure that opportunities remain accessible for the brightest students from diverse backgrounds, while recognizing their achievements and potential. We need your help especially to encourage strong scholars from around the region and the world to join our Master of Laws programmes.

Named scholarships* may be established with a minimum gift of $45,000 (expendable) or $150,000 (endowed). Currently established scholarships may be viewed here.

Prizes

Prizes are awarded to students who have performed the best in a particular module, recognising their hard work and spurring them on in their efforts to excel.

A named prize* may be established with a minimum gift of $15,000 (expendable) or $75,000 (endowed). Currently established prizes may be viewed here.

Grants

Grants may be set up to provide students with additional financial help for living and study expenses (over and above a bursary), or for participation in overseas exchange programmes, mooting and other competitions or internships. Such donations pave the way for students to make the most of their law school experience through greater opportunities and exposure.

A named grant* may be established with a minimum gift of $15,000 (expendable) or $75,000 (endowed). Currently established grants may be viewed here.
