Portal Transition

Q1. Why must I submit my completed pro bono hours by 6 May if TC only closes on 18 May?

A: The 6 May deadline allows sufficient time for CPBCLE’s processing and approval before TC shuts down from 18 May.

Q2. Can I continue to undertake pro bono work for previously allocated opportunities in May and June while the portal is down?

A: Yes. Keep your own record of hours. You may submit the hours for previously allocated opportunities in the new portal from 1 July, and designated supervisors will be notified for endorsement.

Q3. Should I get my supervisor to endorse my excel timesheets while TC is shut down?

A: No, there is no need to obtain supervisor endorsements during the interim period. Supervisors will review and endorse submissions directly in the new portal from 1 July.

Q4. Can I still access TC from 18 May?

A: Yes, for viewing purposes only. Unrecorded actions by users will not be reflected in the new portal from 1 July.

Q5. Will my existing records from TC be transferred to the new portal from 1 July?

A: Yes, previously captured records up to 6 May 2026 will be reflected in the new portal from 1 July.

Q6. Can I apply for new opportunities while TC is shut down?

A: No, you may apply for pro bono opportunities either before 6 May or from 1 July onwards.

Q7. What happens if I miss the 6 May deadline?

A: Unsubmitted hours will not be processed or migrated. Students will continue recording hours in the new portal from 1 July.

Q8. How should I keep track of my completed pro bono hours during the interim period?

A: You may maintain a personal log (e.g. Excel/Notes) to track the dates and times of each activity, the number of hours, nature of work done and supervisor details. These will need to be entered into the new portal from 1 July.

Q9. Will I need to reapply for opportunities that I have accepted before 6 May?

A: No. Previously accepted opportunities will be reflected in the new portal, and you may continue recording hours for them from 1 July.

Q10. What happens if my supervisor changes during the interim period?

A: Email probonohours@nus.edu.sg to update the supervisor details before submitting your hours in the new portal. The updated supervisor will receive the endorsement request.
